1. What bonder does = Removes oil + moisture
A pH bonder dehydrates the nail plate and removes oils. Gel can’t stick to oily or wet nails. Bonder preps the surface so product bonds.

2. What primer does = The sticky grip
Primer is sticky. It creates a grip layer between your natural nail and the base gel. Think of it as double-sided tape for gel. No primer = lifting at the cuticle fast.

3. Primer vs Bonder: Do you need both?
Yes. Bonder dries the nail first. Primer gives it grip. Most pro systems use bonder first, then primer, then base coat.
4. What happens if you skip them
Gel lifts from the cuticle, peels from the plate, and won’t last 2 weeks. This is the #1 reason clients say “gel doesn’t last on me.”
Use both every time: Prep > Bonder > Primer > Base. That’s how you get 3-week gel.
