1. Prep the nail plate 100%
Oil = lifting. Start with a clean nail. Lightly buff to remove shine, wipe with dehydrator, then apply primer. Skip hand cream for 24h before gel.
2. Cap the free edge every layer
This is the #1 reason for tip chipping. After base coat, color, and top coat, run your brush along the very tip of the nail to seal it.
3. Use a no-wipe top coat and cure fully
A flexible, no-wipe top coat protects color and adds shine without tacky residue. Cure LED 60s or UV 120s. Under-cured gel will peel fast.
